About Freestage

Freestage is an RSO at ISU that promotes artistic growth and development for Illinois State University students through theatrical performances. Freestage holds the Freestage Fringe Festival at the end of every semester (April 22-26) featuring student produced and sometimes written works. This is not only a great source for entertainment but it is also a place to further education.

Mission Statement:

The purpose of Freestage is to facilitate the needs of students interested in creating and designing experimental, diverse, and original productions through resourceful directing, imaginative acting, and creative use of found spaces.
